Upon its first day of arrival the book saved me over $1200 in dealer fees by assisting me in a belt change, spark plug change, fuel filter change, and brake change. Its got tons of information in it. I would consider myself pretty handy, Im not a certified mechanic or anything, but handy none-the-less, and this book gives me the extra confidence I need to get any job done on my mercedes. After all, to most of us, these german engineered vehicles can be a bit intimidating when it comes to working on them, but this book gets you over that pretty quick. Hell, its nice to have just for the bolt torque ratings alone. The book has all steps written out fairly clearly if your somewhat handy, and pictures to assist. The pictures arent exactly exhaustive, but they are enough to get the job done. There is always room for improvement, and this book certainly isnt for experienced mechanics, but for a DIYer looking to save a serious amount of money servicing their own benz, then Buy it, you wont be dissapointed.
Don't bother with less expensive manuals for your vehicle servicing - just get a Haynes. For owner-performed maintenance, and even some major repairs, this is the best commercial manual available for the money. Want to get into it a little deeper (as in electrical schematics and fault diagnosis)? Then put out $400 or more for the dealer's manual set. Otherwise, Haynes always come through for the gal or guy with some mechanical ability and who is willing to get their hands dirty.
not real in some parts vary a little, it does not has the code number in the parts, so is to difficult to ask for a part in the dealer
I've used this manual several times so far, along with DIY's from mbworld.org, to replace my fuel filter, transmission fluid and filter, thermostat, power steering fluid, air filter, oil, oil filter, and more in my 2005 C230. The manual will pay for itself after your first repair. I only wish it had more pictures, and pictures that were larger, more detailed, and in color.
So much information in it and helps in solving problems
So far it has helped me with minor things like bolt torques, fluid capacities, Jack points under car Etc...

As expected but doesn't really help you fix your car. Wish they included more details on how to fix things.
