Good read but many of the illustrations are blurred.

Well-written and fairly objective. This is a little discussed subject. The book chronicles the tragedy of one city rising on the ashes of another after a war involving ethnic cleansing of the indigenous Palestinian population.Kudos to the author for taking on this important topic.

A standard post-colonial critique of Israel and Zionism, ostensibly told through the story of Tel Aviv's 'White City'. As is common with the work of the New Historians, it tries to 'deconstruct' standard narratives told in Israel, in this case it is UNESCO's recent recognition of the city's Bauhaus buildings as a 'world heritage centre'. Rotbard tenuously attempts to debunk this myth with the aim of forcing the standard anti-Israel narrative of colonialism and ethnic cleansing upon us. A passable work of propaganda that will might make its way onto university or polytechnic reading lists.
