About the Author
Charles Webster Leadbeater (1847-1934) was a Church of England clergyman until he joined the Theosophical Society in 1883. He spent some years in Sri Lanka working for the revival of Buddhism, and later became the Presiding Bishop of the Liberal Catholic Church, which seeks to combine the preservation of the Catholic sacraments with the widest measure of freedom of thought and interpretation of the scriptures. He was a highly developed clairvoyant and the author of over thirty books on the spiritual life and on the psychic nature of man. He unfolded and perfected his own psychic faculties under the guidance of his Adept teacher and in 1893 began his clairvoyant investigations, on occasion collaborating with Annie Besant, the second President of the Theosophical Society. His worldwide lectures presented a new viewpoint to thousands of people.

I am honored to have finished reading "Man Visible & Invisible" by C. W. Leadbeater. This incredibly valuable book is a great reference tool for anyone attempting to learn what is beyond the physical vehicle. It is a difficult read and can't say I understand it all. After reading this book, I purchased "The Etheric Double" by Arthur E. Powell to begin to get mored detailed working from the physical body outward in the aura. I finished that book -- also excellent -- and I am beginning "The Astral Body" -- also by Powell -- then "The Mental Body" and "The Causal Body" books will follow. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and I am always looking for new ways to help others heal. Hope this review helps.
This product is very well bound with a dust jacket and was packed nicely so that the binding was not compromised. I specifically ordered this book because I wanted the "TWENTY-TWO COLOURED ILLUSTRATIONS" (quoted from the cover page) included in the original publication. I understood that this was a "facsimile" or reproduction of the original book, however, the description of the item should include that this is strictly a black and white only copy of the original text and colored illustrations.

Don't be deceived by the color cover and the color plates you see when you look inside the digital copy. It is all black and white and the charts on the kindle copy are too small to read. Save your money. Make sure you buy this one in the book format to use all the info included. I criticize the display, not the info in the book.
